We reviewed the call for participation for a new ISO joint working group 
on digital manufacturing.

We agreed to hold an Industry day to promote the new Digital 
Manufacturing group in Baltimore on October 21st.

Three versions of a poster for the Industry have been developed and you 
are asked to VOTE (by e-mail reply) for your favorite:

We reviewed a set of open source web sites for developing STEP-NC 
applications.

We reviewed an extension to the STEP infrastructure that will allow the 
standard definition of a quantity to be referenced from a STEP dimension.

We discussed the results of the Part 21 workshop. The new edition of 
Part 21 is ready for publication. There will be three conformance classes
CC 1 - which existing systems can process by ignoring the new sections 
for Anchor data and Digital signatures
CC 2 - which existing systems can process by getting a preprocessor to 
resolve any references between files in the new reference section
CC 3 - which requires new implementation code because of changes to the 
data section
