Attendees
---------------
Alain Brail, Airbus
Jean-bernard Hentz, AIrbus
Fred Proctor, NIST
Bengt Olsson, Sandvik
Philippe Darnis, University of Bordeaux
Chiaki Sakamoto, MER
Martin Hardwick, STEP Tools

The part has been machined and measured by Sandvik and the University
of Bordeaux. The issue with the position of the part was caused by
importing the wrong version of the AP-203
model into Vericut.

Avi and wmv files for the simulation have been uploaded to the web
site where they can be played at the following url:
http://www.steptools.com/library/stepnc/2007_ibusuki/

The results of the measurements have been sent to STEP Tools but not
yet read into AP-238 because they have a different file format. The
analysis of the measurement results will have to wait until a new
parser has been written.

There was a discussion of follow-on activities with the following
suggestions made:

1. Integration with AP-203 edition 2 so that the measurement
tolerances can be obtained from CAD systems via direct export.
2. Higher level synthesis of the measurement results into tolerance
specific metrics that can be stored in the AP-238 file.
3. Improving accuracy by implementing new curve types particularly
for machining the b-spline surfaces.
4. Widening the testing by encouraging others to implement the demonstration.

Action Items
------------------
NIST to investigate development of an AP-203 e2 export for its CAD systems
STEP Tools to write a parser to read the results of the Heidenhain
probing macros into AP-238
STEP-Manufacturing to investigate development of an extension of
AP-238 for High level Inspection Planning (HIPP)
All to contribute photos of the participants to the web site.

The next conference call will be held on Monday July 2nd at 5PM
