At one of its meetings in San Francisco, the SC4 Quality Committee
agreed to circulate the proposed syntax for mapping
tables/specifications for review. This syntax will be included in the
draft Mapping Specification Guidelines (update to the Mapping Table
Guidelines) which is due to be circulated for an 8-week technical
review next month.
The proposed syntax is given in the following documents:
QCN163
Stonis, Alfonsas
Reference Path Syntax of Mapping Tables
available from: http://www.nist.gov/sc4/wg_qc/qc/n163/qcn163.htm
QCN203
Stonis, Alfonsas
Mapping Syntax Extensions
Available from: http://www.nist.gov/sc4/wg_qc/qc/n203/qcn203.htm
These documents are circulated now in order to give experts in WG3,
JWG9, WG11, and the QC an opportunity to start reviewing the proposed
syntax before the draft standing document is available. There is no
need to submit immediate comments; the syntax specification will
appear "as is" in the draft standing document. Details of the 8-week
comment period will be published at the same time as the draft
document itself.
regards
Julian
