Perhaps it is worth noting that some work has already been done in WG2 on XML 
representations, and the new Part 25 of 13584 is intended to give exactly the light 
approach that is being suggested.

In addition, we have already highlighted the need for extending the reach of SC4 
into traditional product standards - and the guidelines for that were developed 
last year and published in October following approval at the TC184 meeting (N759 
rev 2).

We need a clear marketing plan with material to promote the capabilities of SC4 in 
all these external conferences, as well as plugging our specialist technologies.  
SC4's role should be to develop the strategy and materials - King Yee and I have 
some candidate material which we have been using in a number of forums recently wit 
h some success.
