All,
So Wednesday next week is not reasonable because of a direct conflict for many of those most interested in the issues we wish to discuss.
I think it would be good if we can meet before the DMSC, so I suggest we have our call at 10:30AM on Monday (August 14).
Will this work?

Hi Martin,
Yes, next week would be good, except the DMSC (ANSI QIF) has a recurring QIF Working Group meeting (9-10 Central) every other week on Wednesday.
We need folks like John and Curtis. How to solve?

All,
I am very sorry about the broken link today.
I tried running the call from home but it seems that a previously reliable Internet provider is now blocking broadcasts by dropping connections.
I think there was a lot of interest in the topic so I am inclined to reschedule this call for the same time next week (one week earlier than normal).
If you are interested let me know if you think this would be a good or bad idea.

same - so what I keep from this beginning of session (if I understood well), is a discussion about QIF to be more closely bound with STEP (Part 28 ? with EXPRESS schema and general resources of STEP or keeping separate schema ?)
Another concern is about completion of AP242 E2

[step-manufacturing] Reminder and agenda - conference call this Wednesday

All,
The conference call is at the regular times this Wednesday. The proposed agenda is as follows:
1. Build Here, Build Now, Build Right challenge for IMTS 2018 and JIMTOF 2018 (see attachment).
2. Inclusion of QIF in the work scope of WG15 - a federated architecture for STEP-Manufacturing?
* STEP excels at product modeling which requires a large investment and needs stability to maintain the value of that investment.
* MTConnect excels at process monitoring which requires real time, time-stamps and a data model that is easy to process.
* QIF excels at reporting which requires a rich, flexible data model that can explain the reasons for a report.
The proposal is to use MTConnect as a "Part 28" for communicating model changes between STEP and QIF, and thereby enabling CNC machines to make real time corrections using reports from CMM machines.
3. Assistance for completion of AP242 Edition 2.
