The dates of the demonstration has been moved back to May 14 and 15
so that the T24 technical meetings can take place in the following
week at the SC4 meeting in Vancouver. The tentative plan is for
machining demonstrations to be given at a Boeing facility in Seattle,
and for inspection demonstrations using a scanning probe to be given
at a Mitutoyo facility in Seattle.

There was a discussion of which part should be used for the
demonstration. The two favorites were the following:

ftp://ftp.steptools.com/private/Vancouver/Sandvik_test_parts/Sandvik%20Demo%206.pdf

The first part has the advantage of allowing us to test data from a
new data source (Mastercam). The second part has the advantage of
being faster to machine.

The University of Bath Machine Tool model has been substantially
updated since it was presented to T24 in April. The latest version
can model machine tool limits and parallel kinematics.

The technical goal for the demonstration is to show data exchange of
machining processes between enterprises. A document describing these
goals and the scenario for the demonstration has been made by Fred
Proctor. A diagram showing the scenario has been made by Xun Xu.

The next conference call will be on Wednesday November 12. The goal
for the call will be to make the final part selection.

Action items
------------------
Gary Hargreaves to find out the material and approximate machining
time for the Mastercam part.
Bengt Olsson to find out the material for the Sandvik part.
Martin Hardwick to make STEP-NC data for the candidate parts.
