[step-manufacturing] First conference call for next round of STEP-NC testing

If you would like to see the results of the CCAT

Our next demonstration will be held from May 
13-15 at a Boeing facility in Seattle. This is 
the same week as the ISO STEP meeting on 
Vancouver Island in Canada and the demonstration 
has been arranged so that those who wish can go 
to the ISO meeting at the start of the week and 
the demonstration at the end of the week.

Our first conference call is on Wednesday 
(October 15) and the goal for the call is to 
begin selecting the test parts and technical 
targets for the new demonstration. The following ideas were discussed at CCAT.

1. Machine a mold part.
2. Direct export of STEP-NC from CATIA.
3. Test speed-feed optimization of plunge milling.
4. Test integrated machining and measurement using Curve_probing.
5. Test integrated data exchange of ISO 13399 
cutting tool models and AP-238 machining models.
6. Develop and test one or more machine tool 
models using the University of Bath machine tool 
kinematics model and/or the ASME machine tool model.
7. Test automotive and/or heavy equipment 
machining of parts with multiple set-ups and complex instructions.
8. Test import of AP-203 e2 presentation information.
