STEP Tools joins CATIA V5 Developers Program

STEP Tools has licensed CATIA v5 and become a member
of the CAA V5 Adopter Program.

In the new program, STEP Tools will be developing CATIA
v5 translators for shipbuilding and STEP-NC in partnership
with Dassault Systèmes using our ST-Developer tool kit
and Microsoft C++ dll libraries supplied by Dassault.

STEP XML meeting to be held in Troy on September 12 and 13

There is very strong customer demand for an effective STEP/XML
solution. The first edition of Part 28 showed that a generic
XML solution will be more like Part 21 than the XML used in
Internet applications.

The Troy workshop will work on a new XML solution that uses a
configuration language to describe how STEP data should be
mapped into an XML Schema. The new solution will show how to
map STEP data for an activity within the scope of an AP into
an XML format acceptable to Internet applications.
