STEP-NC Mini-Demonstration
A mini-demonstration of the new STEP-NC standard is now on our web
site. The demonstration contains an interactive visualization of the
STEP-NC test part. The URL below will start the demonstration with a
three pane viewer.
http://www.steptools.com/cgi-bin/demo/nc-feature-viewer?start_server=yes&com
mand=init
Or go to the STEP-NC home page and start the "Feature Viewer".

The top pane is a control pane. The left pane is the master and the
right pane is the slave. In the initial configuration the left pane
will contain a bill of material and the right pane will contain an
image of the model. If you pick an item in the BOM the corresponding
feature will be highlighted in the image, and if you pick a feature in
the image the corresponding item will be highlighted in the bill of
material.
To explore more you can configure the slave pane using a range of
options that will rotate, zoom and set the color/visibility for picked
and un-picked items.
Also you can use the control pane to change the gadgets in the Master
(left) and Slave (right) panes. The Master Pane can contain the Bill
of Material or the Image gadget. The Slave Pane can contain a Bill of
Material, Image or Feature Description gadget. The Feature Description
Gadget will give you a textual description of the currently
highlighted features.
Have fun with it. The STEP-NC Mini-Demonstration was built using a
preview of the Visualization Service of ST-Repository.
