paper on the potential application of Semantic Web technology to STEP
implementation. These ideas are far from complete but are simply meant to
stimulate discussion and consideration of what, if anything, SC4 or the
implementation community might do with in this domain. The paper is available
at <a href="http://www.exff.org/">www.exff.org</a> under “Papers”.
This paper and the bit of implementation we’ve done are part of “EXPRESS
for free”, a larger open-source project we’ve initiated with the
aim of lowering the cost of STEP implementation and of enabling the widespread use
of the STEP domain standards in other disciplines and languages.</span></font></p>
