PROGRESS AND STATUS OF WG11 PROJECTS

Part 11 Edition 2 - published 2004-11-10
	Need to begin TC to fold in the E2 to E1 implementer
	agreements documented in wg11n239 and SEDS #915.  Decided to
	abandon language identifier. Allison volunteered to reformat
	the implementer agreements into the Technical Corrigendum
	format.

	Workshop over weekend, discussed express issues.  TC still
	under development.

Part 12  - published 1997-07-15
        Peter Wilson has provided the Latex source for the document.
	Need volunteer to put in TR format and update for the new
	supplemental directives 

Part 14 - status 40.60, in publication

	Following two activities occurring in OMG have delayed
	starting a second edition P25.  This will enable the use of
	EXPRESS to jumpstart the definition of ontologies.

	- Define EXPRESS metamodel in UML and publish through OMG by
	  end of year.

	- Define mapping from EXPRESS metamodel to OWL metamodel

NEW BUSINESS

EXPRESS-Based Binary Data Exchange

First draft spec published after Lillehammer contact with NCSA HDF-5
group. Strong cooperation with HDF-5 group, they are helping with some
proof of concept tests.

Will review on thursday with goal of producing another spec.

Set up email discussion list in response to Lillehammer resolution.
Currently active discussion.  Expect a summary report by the next
