WG11: who attends San Diego

Jochen,

There was no criticism meant in my message at all, just a statement of
facts.
I have reviewed The EXPRESS-G annex and sent comments back to Jochen and
Peter, I have also had a look at the e2->e1 and short->long algorithms, but
not commented on that yet since I need to see more on the changes to e2
first to work out if the proposed mappings capture the semantics correctly.

In summary, we need to get the work done on what E2 is completed as soon as
possible. The mappings etc all depend on this. The Ballot resolutions were
completed in June and I guess there may still be problems with the
understanding of those resolutions since there is still a chance of
contradiction etc. Jochen has been doing an excellent job of catching the
contradictions so far, but the fact remains this work still has to be
reviewed internally to WG11 before wider distribution. I have seen what
happens if a draft document with a couple of mistakes in it is sent out to
the modellers. If they use these mistakes we are unable to remove them
later, and have to work out elaborate schemes to include the mistake into
the design of the language!
