The project is currently holding weekly telecons and refining
working draft document. The project will attempt to submit a
document for CD ballot before San Diego.
Part 29 - cancelled
No Report, no meetings
P29 was scheduled for cancellation by ISO prior to the San
Diego meeting and WG11 was requested to submit a resolution
withdrawing this project. The resolution was submitted with
the following explanation:
"ISO 10303-29, Implementation methods: Java programming
language binding to the EXPRESS modeling language is not
currently being worked, and has been inactive since releasing
working draft wg11n060 on 2000-08-22. Industrial interest in
this part appears to have faded.
Therefore Part 29 can be withdrawn."
The resolution cancelling the P29 was approved by SC4.

complete, circulate for a 4-wk wg11 review before forwarding
for TS publication. Target date: prior to San Diego.
NEW BUSINESS
Drafted a WG11 position statement on resources, which Mr Oku presented
at the PPC. The statement is as follows.
WG11 believes it has sufficient participation to complete its
current active projects, but is lacking support to begin new
projects.
New projects are needed to address open SEDS issues and to
update the 20-series for EXPRESS Ed 2, but there are currently
no people in WG11 to work on these.
WG11 will not begin any new projects without evidence of
sufficient participation to complete the job.
PPC requested that WG11 draft NWI proposals for updating the 20 series
parts and clarify what work is required for each part. When the annex
comments have been resolved, we should update wg11n179 to reflect the
current state of the language and suggest scopes for the projects.
