We discussed the CAM Tooling pilot. The work will progress in two
stages. The first stage will demonstrate feasibility by getting the
tool vendors to make tool and process selections for a production on
a non-production machine in a lab. The second phase will make tool
and process selections for production parts on production machines
at the Boeing Auburn plant.
The participants must sign a Proprietary Information Agreement (PIA)
with Boeing. Please contact us if you would like to be one of the
participants so that we can include your name in the agreement list.
Work will begin on planning a project scope and schedule so that it
can be reviewed at the CCAM meeting on June 24 and 25.

Participants are asked to register for the meeting as soon as
possible. Information on the meeting including the registration form
can be found on the CCAM page of the web site.
The CAX-IF is continuing to make progress on their CAD to CAM data
exchange project. They are using a modified Boxy with an additional
chamfer as one of their test parts.
