We agreed to plan for a meeting of about 30 attendees. A web page has
been put onto the STEP Tools site for the meeting with registration
instructions.

We reviewed the STEP Resource Locator (STRL) concept and decided to
test it in this cycle by using it to link processes and resources over
the network.

We would like to investigate how to use the STRL's with MT Connect so
that a STEP-NC plan can use the latest state of a CNC machine for
optimization and other tasks.

There is concern over how to document the using STRL's in a scenario.
Fred Proctor will investigate the use of IDEF0 diagrams.

A video recording of the conference call is at the following URL:
ftp://ftp.steptools.com/private/NIST/stepmanuf_telecon_20091021.wmv

The next conference call will be held at the usual times in three
weeks, one week longer than usual because of a manufacturing conference
at NIST.

Action Items
Fred Proctor to investigate if we can distribute the MT Connect
specifications to the team.
Fred Proctor to investigate use of IDEF0 for documenting the scenarios
Bengt Olsson to investigate a cutting tool database scenario
STEP Tools to generate some sample STRL's
