Meeting Results
· Successful
demonstration of optimized machining of part by Boeing using a
significantly different machine than planned for in the original
data.
· Successful
demonstration of high speed machining by U. Bordeaux.
· Successful
demonstration of closed loop machining using AP-203 e2 tolerances by KTH
and Scania.
· Successful
integration by Sandvik and STEP Tools of ISO 13399 tool data and AP-238
machining data to enable the usage of actual cutting tool data at the
beginning of machining and recording of changes to cutting tool data at
end of machining.
· Web site showing
meeting results at:
ACTION ITEMS
Develop Corrigendum for AP-238 containing the following two
corrections
· Via points to
enable polyline arc’s and helix’s because of data size discovery
· Cross Section
Area because current model of overcut and depth in AP-238 is insufficient
for optimization

Encourage the rapid development of a machine tool model
· Contact the
Convenor of Wg7 SC1 to express the strong interest of T24 in this
model
· Publish model
developed by University of Bath on the T24 web site and encourage SC1 to
adopt the best features of this model
· Develop
implementation prototypes using the University of Bath model for the next
meeting
