AP238 Edition 2 has passed it DIS ballots with 9 yes votes by the member 
countries, and 0 no votes

  * AP238 Edition 1 was used to make one million parts last year because
    it enables the assembly of higher precision air frames at lower cost.
  * AP238 Edition 2 enhances edition 1 with new definitions for
    automated measurement, and new support for additive manufacturing,
    composite tape layup, and multi-robot drill and fill.

If you work at a large manufacturing organization, then its time to get 
started, because deploying model based manufacturing requires careful 
planning.
