We congratulate Aydin Nassehi on his new position as convenor of Working
Group 7 of SC1, and we thank Ian Stroud for his many years of hard work
in that position.

1. Digital Manufacturing Day on October 21st in Baltimore.
The web site for the Digital Manufacturing day is now fully operational.

2. Preparing the new edition of AP238.
The plan is to review AP238 Edition 2 at the Baltimore meeting and
present the requirements for the second edition. The New Work Item will
be submitted after the meeting and the first draft of the new edition
will be presented in Seattle in May or June.
3. Getting started on the Mind the Gap and O3 projects.
The Mind the Gap project has started. GE is creating GD&T data for the
bracket. STEP Tools is working with Vanderbilt to develop a direct
STEP/JSON interface for visualization and other applications. Penn State
is preparing to start working on the NC Generator. The code for the new
generator and visualization systems is being develop as open source and
will be available on the following web site:
