  Thank you for the document of turning data model prepared by ISW.

  In the very near future, the two versions will be converged into one. In the mean time, hearing opinions from the international delegations will be helpful in preparing the converged version.

  Ladies and Gentlemen
   
  After a  presentation of a first draft last year, the turning model was developped further in the framework of the European STEP-NC project, and  presented  by ISW, Stefan Heusinger at the WG7 meeting in Frankfurt in May. At this meeting Prof. Suk-Hwan Suh, Postech Korea presented his version of the turning model. It was agreed at the meeting, that the 2 models should be harmonised for further prodedure in ISO TC184/SC1/WG7 for ISO 14649 and also harmonised with ISO 10303 AP224.
   
  The reworked turning model (see attached file) was done by ISW and contains the efforts undertaken for harmonisation.
  It is distributed  as a  contribution for the SC4 meeting in San Francisco, as the turning model is on the agenda of this meeting.
  As ISW and WZL can not participate at the San Francisco meeting I will be in charge for upcoming questions or further harmonisation needs.
