Jeff,
Your proposal of having a a space for our presentations on Tuesday is fine with me. Would it not be appropriate to make the event a joint SC4/IAI event? The agenda should be rearranged anyway to enable the STEP related presentations I proposed. Industry would certainly benefit from the jont event. What do you think abaut this?
I will be out of my office from Tuesday - Friday this week. I will not be able to recover my e-mails during this time. So I would appreciate a quick answer today.
Best regards
Wolfgang

Wolfgang
Thank you for reorganising the agenda for the Tuesday; I think that your suggestions look good.
In addition to the events/meetings planned, our aim is to also present the current status of work for IFC development at the Liaison plenary on the Wednesday when I would look forward to referencing the good work on the harmonisation proposal in the T22++ team and IAI as well as other activities.
With regard to the proposal for an event similar to the IAI Workshop on Wednesday, I think that this would be a good idea. However, I wonder if it might be more effective from an industry viewpoint to have a space at the Tuesday event since we do propose to invite a number of external people who would be unlikely to be there on Wednesday. This would neeed some rethink on space for the Tuesday event but I think that this could be done.
I will open this up for (particularly) you and Chris Groome to comment.
Regards
Jeff

Subject: Agendas for upcoming STEP meeting in Bath
Dear STEP-B&Cers,
you may have noticed, that we will have an IAI meeting in parallel to our T22 meeting in Bath. We were invited to attend an IAI Workshop Tuesday July 6th. This is on conflict with our agenda for the Bath meeting, we had agreed in Poitiers. I have set up a new agenda to enable T22 members to attend the IAI workshop. What I have basically done is
a.. Reduce the time for our opening plenary on Monday to two hours. This would allow me to attend the IAI ITM meeting on Monday from 3:00 on.
b.. Keep Tuesday free to enable attending the IAI workshop
c.. Reshape the Wednesday agenda to have an event, similar to the IAI Workshop. I would like to take the opportunity to show members of the IAI what we have achieved. This would also give visitors the possibility to obtain a more complete picture of available interoperability possibilities by inveting another day in Bath and attending our meeting.
d.. Reserve Thursday for technical discussions concerning harmonization with the IAI, implementers agreements and future extensions.
The attached Word Document contains both agendas, the old one we agreed in Poitiers and the new one. Please provide feedback as soon as possible, which one you prefer. I will then communicate the results to the IAI, to come to a joint planning of both meetings.
Best regards
Wolfgang Haas
