--------------------
ISO 14649 Part 21
The Application Interpreted Model for the STEP-NC Milling schema is on
our web site at http://www.steptools.com/library/stepnc
There are two versions of the document. One is organized to be easier to
print, the other is organized to easier to view using an on-line PDF viewer.
The STEP-NC Milling schema is an information model for describing
manufacturing
working steps for milling machines. 14649-21 shows how this model can be
integrated with the rest of the STEP information models so that:
* A design can be defined using AP-203
* Manufacturing features are added to the design using AP-224
* NC Contoller working Steps are added to the features using
14649-21.
The new document is very technical. It tells database implementors how
to implement a database that stores design, feature and working step data.
In future months we will be working on interfaces to the database that
make it easy for applications to read and write STEP-NC data.

ST-Developer Evaluation and STEP Classes
Version 7.0 of ST-Developer has a new license key feature that makes
it easy for us to distribute limited term evaluation copies to
potential users. Therefore, in the future we will be able to present
class attendees with an evaluation copy of ST-Developer v7 for use on
a NT/95 or UNIX platform.
The upcoming classes are:
* Object-Oriented Information Modeling with EXPRESS
Tuesday/Wednesday April 13-14, 1999
* Application Programming with STEP
May 11-13, 1999
